In the first match of the day against CIU, the Warriors and the Rams were tied 22-22 in the third set before CIU had a kill and a service ace to go up 24-22, and then after a kill by Figueroa, another kill by the Rams ended it.

Koenig (.389 attack percentage) and Figueroa both finished with eight kills against CIU while McKinley and Kayleigh Smith both added six. Brown dished out 18 assists while Crow had 15.

Defensively, Koenig, Sara Weisrock and Serteria Butler all had two blocks, and Tisdale led in digs with 12 while Figueroa had 10 and Gabriela Lopez had eight.

After the day, CIU improved to 15-10 with two wins, Webber moved to 5-13 with the split, and FNU dropped to 8-8 with two losses. Additionally, the Warriors improved to 7-0 all-time against the Conquistadors.

Webber's Head Women's Volleyball Coach Gretchen Hand said, "We continue to improve and develop our offense. Our underclassmen helped to lead the way against Florida National University. I am proud of where the Warriors are going and look forward to our remaining Spring matches. Kayleigh Smith had an outstanding match. It was the first time she has played six rotations for us on the varsity level. We look forward to having many great matches from her going forward."

Next up for Webber will be its final home match of the Spring as the Warriors host Edward Waters College at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 19.
