Men’s volleyball swept by Georgetown on final day of Reinhardt POD Tournament

WALESKA, Ga. (February 27, 2021) – Following its 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-18) loss today against Georgetown College (Ky.), the nationally-recognized Webber International University men's volleyball team finished with a 1-2 record at the Reinhardt University Pod Tournament this past weekend. The Warriors now sit at 4-6 overall in 2021 and dropped below .500 in the Mid-South Conference at 2-3.

Against Georgetown on Saturday, Webber hit in the negative percentages in all three sets.

Kai Desauguste finished with a career-high eight kills, Peyten Young had 20 assists, and Steven Bartlett recorded a team-high six digs.

In all for the tournament this weekend, Daniel Suarez finished first in digs per set (3.4) while Young was third (2.5). Additionally, Gunter Perea Quevedo was third in blocks per set (0.9), and Young was also fourth in assists per set (6.6).

Next up will be the Warriors' first home match of the 2021 season as they take on Truett-McConnell University at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 4.
