CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (November 29, 2021) – The Webber International University men's basketball team played its second game in as many days, this time against the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College on Saturday afternoon. The high-scoring affair ended in a 92-85 defeat for the Warriors.
Despite out-rebounding Lindsey Wilson (7-3 overall) 29-25 and shooting 50 percent from the field in the game, the Warriors (3-7) were unable to keep up with the Blue Raiders' scoring in the second half. Lindsey Wilson scored 53 second-half points on 60 percent shooting in the half to fuel them to the seven-point victory.
Tiyon Martin led the Warriors with 21 points, converting nine of his 12 free throw attempts. He was followed by
Jaylon Myles with 16 points,
Jordan Golden with 15, and
Loro Natana with 14. Myles finished with a game-high eight rebounds in the game while Terrance Lakes finished with a game-high six assists to go with his eight points scored.
The Warriors now return to Sun Conference action as they face the Southeastern University Fire this Thursday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m. inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center. Two days later, on Saturday, December 4, Webber travels to West Palm Beach, Florida to battle Keiser University in back-to-back conference matchups.
