BABSON PARK, Fla. (October 26, 2021) – The 2021-22 regular season tipped off for the Webber International University women's basketball team on Tuesday evening inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center as it hosted Trinity Baptist College. The Warriors would cruise to a 93-45 victory in their season-opener against the Eagles.

The Warriors (1-0 overall) shot an impressive 51.3% in the game while holding the Eagles (0-1) to just 23.7%. Webber also outscored the Eagles in terms of points in the paint 58-12.

Webber's defense limited Trinity Baptist to 10 points or less in the first three quarters of the game. The Warriors forced 20 steals, led by
LeAndra Franklin with six and
Deja King with four.

The Warriors were led offensively by
Eletra Graham who finished with 17 points off of 5 of 10 shooting from behind the arch. She was followed by King with 14 and
Dasia Wandick with 12.
Samantha Pacheco led the way in terms of assists dishing out nine with Franklin finishing with seven. Pacheco would end one point and one assist away from a double-double.

Paulette Burke right behind her with six and King with five.

Next up, the Warriors will host the Florida National Conquistadors this Thursday, October 28, at 5:30 p.m. inside the Sabbagh Athletic Center.
