"It was clearly a game of two halves," spoke Webber's Head Coach
Brian Fallon. "I have to take my hat off to the University of South Carolina Beaufort for really playing so hard and being gracious hosts. We do look forward to the challenge when we play them again in our last home game this season though. Go Warriors."
USCB (1-0, 1-0), which was playing in its 2020 season opener, scored less than nine minutes into the match to get things started, and then doubled up its lead to 2-0 in the 16th minute before scoring again in the 28th minute and then lastly in the 35th minute. All four of the Sand Shark' goals were scored by a different player.
Next up for Webber women's soccer will be a second straight Sun Conference matchup on the road as the Warriors take on Crooked Lake rival Warner University in the first of two meetings between the two teams this season. This time around, the Warriors and the Royals will do battle starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, in Lake Wales, Florida.
