Women’s soccer to face No. 1 Keiser in TSC Tournament Quarterfinals

BABSON PARK, Fla. (November 11, 2020) – The 2020 Sun Conference Women's Soccer Tournament has been set, and the seventh-seeded Webber International University Warriors will play at second-seeded and No. 1 nationally-ranked Keiser University at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In its third season under Head Coach Brian Fallon, Webber finished its regular season 4-8-1 overall and 2-8 in the conference while Keiser finished 9-1 and 8-1 with its only loss being a 2-1 overtime decision at No. 4 Southeastern University on October 23. On October 17, the Seahawks defeated the Warriors by a score of 7-1 on Arrigo Vecellio Field.

Highlights from the season so far for Webber include:
  • A pair of 1-0 wins at home in conference play, first on a game-winning goal by Savannah Heggen over Florida Memorial University on October 3, and then on a game-winning goal by Sophia Kenny on Senior Day over the University of South Carolina Beaufort on November 2.
  • Kenny also scored twice in the first half to lead Webber to a 2-1 win in nonconference action at home over Florida National University on October 13.
Kenny led the Warriors in goals this season with four and also had two game-winning goals. Sophomore Malia Domingo was next in goals for Webber with two while senior Sarah Thigpen and junior Charlee Lutton both led the team in assists with two. Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Bartek, meanwhile, ranked first in The Sun Conference and 21st in the NAIA in total saves with 58, and was second in the conference and 38th in the country in saves per match (5.80).
