LAKELAND, Fla. (September 25, 2019) – After a strong 5-1 start during the nonconference portion of its 2019 schedule so far, the Webber International University men's soccer team traveled to nearby Lakeland, Florida, to battle the No. 16-ranked team in the NAIA, Southeastern University, on Wednesday night. In the end, the Warriors fell 5-0 against the undefeated Fire at the SEU Soccer Complex.

Felipe Freiria made six saves while Webber's four shots came from
David Negrin Ruiz with two,
Chris Lyon with one and
Bryan Mejia with one.
Webber fell to 5-2 overall and 0-1 in The Sun Conference while Southeastern improved to 6-0-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference. The Fire have now won their past four matches by a combined score of 18-3 and have not allowed a goal since September 12.
Next up, Webber will host a Sun Conference match at home for the first time this season as the Warriors welcome the Bees of SCAD Savannah to Warrior Field for a 1:30 p.m. meeting on Saturday, September 28.
