BABSON PARK, Fla. (February 13, 2019) – The Webber International University men's and women's basketball teams are both set to host their 2019 Senior Nights on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14, against Johnson & Wales University in a
Blackout Game. Make sure to wear your best black or dark attire to support your Warriors as both teams will be looking to send their seniors out of the Sabbagh Athletic Center on a high note.
The women's game is set to kick off the evening at 5:30 p.m. as the Lady Warriors (9-15 overall, 4-12 The Sun Conference) look to keep the momentum from their huge 19-point upset win (88-69) over nationally-recognized St. Thomas University last Saturday (Jan. 9) going against the Wildcats (8-16, 5-11).
In the first meeting between Webber and Johnson & Wales on the women's side back on January 12, the Warriors won 80-75 as the Warriors outscored the Wildcats 47-27 in the second half to erase a 15-point halftime deficit (48-33).
The Webber women's team is one of the top rebounding and defensive teams in The Sun Conference, topping the league at 42.42 rebounds per game while also ranking third in field goal percentage defense (36.7 percent) and coming in fourth in scoring defense per game (66.83 points per game). Webber is also led by freshman
Taniya Patrick, who ranks first in all of NAIA Division-II in blocks per game (3.1) and is third in total blocks (75) for a Warriors' squad that ranks fourth as a team in blocks per game (4.7) and is 10th in total blocks (112) in the country.

Georges Dorvilien will be honored with their families and friends.
Then, after both the seniors from the Webber men's and women's team are recognized between games, the men's game, which is set for 7:30 p.m., will feature a Webber (12-16, 3-13) squad and a Johnson & Wales (2-21, 2-14) team that are both battling to avoid a last-place finish in The Sun Conference.
The first meeting between the Webber men's team and Johnson & Wales was a 95-79 victory for the Wildcats, who also earned what was their first win of the season at the time.
Overall in The Sun Conference, the Warriors' men's team ranks second in scoring offense per game at 83.43 points per game, and is also second in total rebounds per game (39.00) and is fifth in field goal percentage defense (44.7 percent). In addition to leading the conference with 23.04 points per game, sophomore
Tommie Luke also ranks eighth in all of NAIA Division-II in points per game and is 10th in total scoring (599 points).
