TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. (September 4, 2018) – The Webber International University women's volleyball team competed on the road on Tuesday, September 4, and came out on top with a 3-1 (25-21, 25-16, 19-25, 25-19) victory over Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida.
After taking the first set, the Warriors found themselves behind early in the second set at 8-2, but then Webber responded with a big 13-4 rally to take the lead at 15-12.
Webber would use a 7-0 run later in the set to take a commanding 2-0 set lead.
Then after trailing 16-10 in the third set and never being able to recover, the Warriors used another 7-0 run in the fourth set to go ahead 11-6. The battle was not over however, as after an 8-1 Falcons' run made it 17-16 Warriors, Webber needed a 6-0 run to ultimately put the nail in the coffin and earn its sixth victory of the season.

Cameron Neely with 10 kills,
Virginia Salanoa-Sagapolu with nine kills,
Gilmary Ramos with 19 assists and five aces,
Valerie Vargas with a double-double of 16 assists and 10 digs,
Nayrelis Pantoja Santos with 20 digs,
Hannah Tannone with 14 digs and
Emily Bowen with 11 digs and seven kills.
Next up, the Warriors will head home to the Sabbagh Athletic Center for the first time in 2018 on Saturday, September 8, opening Sun Conference action against Johnson & Wales University at 2 p.m.
