BABSON PARK, Fla. (September 30, 2017) – The Warriors had three players with two shots, but the Webber International University women's soccer team was unable to score as it fell for the second straight time in The Sun Conference action, this time to Johnson & Wales University by a final score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Laura Borders,
Madison Pike and
Angelina Conde each had two shots for Webber (4-2 overall, 2-2 TSC), while
Isabella Aviolla and
Luiza Oliveira each added another shot. Goalkeeper
Sarah McKinney finished with four saves. Johnson & Wales (3-2, 2-2) got one goal on five shots from Savannah Jackson, and added another goal from Yaneli Montes.
The Warriors will start the final month of the regular season with a three-match home stand spanning from Wednesday, October 4, until Friday, October 13. Webber will welcome Ave Maria University to Warrior Field on October 4 for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
