ALLENTOWN, Pa. - It was a Webber sweep at the Intercollegiate Team Qualifier in Allentown, PA. Both the men's and the women's team took home the win in their divisions and will move on to the national championships in Baton Rouge, LA. The tournament consisted of 64 baker games, 32 on Saturday and 32 on Sunday.

First the Warriors tried to qualify for the Intercollegiate Singles Championships on Friday which consisted of bowling 6 individual games. The top 5 guys and girls from this section would qualify after the 6 games. Unfortunately none of the men were able to get into the top 5, with Senior Ramon Hilferink being the closest in 8th with a score of 1288. Luckily on the ladies side, Senior Taylor Bulthuis won the girls division at the Allentown sectional with a score of 1285. She will be the only Warrior represented at this years event. The intercollegiate singles championship will take place before the intercollegiate team championships in Louisiana.

The men cruised into winning their sectional after leading the field from game 1 to 64. They saw their lead of 300 pins after Saturday increase to a 987 pin lead over second place on Sunday. The top four of each of the four sectionals that were held all across the country would qualify for nationals. Mathematically the men's team did not have to bowl the last 5 games to do this, but they increased their lead even further instead. Lawrence Tech University, last years ITC runner up William Patterson, and Notre Dame Ohio also qualified from this section.

The Lady Warriors traveled to Allentown, PA this weekend to fight for their chance to go to nationals. They had to bowl 32 baker games on Saturday and 32 baker games on Sunday to qualify. The ladies punched their ticket to nationals by putting together a total of 12,647 for 64 baker games which put them at leading the sectional by 400 pins! The lady warriors came together and communicated all weekend to make their weekend a success. The ladies will be traveling to Louisiana early to support their lady Warrior Taylor Bulthuis in her journey with bowling the intercollegiate singles championships that takes place before the team event. Bulthuis punched her ticket into the singles by winning the Allentown sectional with 1,285 for 6 games.

Now the Warriors will continue to keep working hard to prepare themselves for the last two tournaments of the collegiate season. The Warriors have the NAIA championships and nationals to look forward to.

The Warriors will be back in action on April 1st and 2nd at the NAIA invitational in Lexington, Kentucky. Webber will have the opportunity to win their first two out of possible four national championships this year.
