                    Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Sun Conference softball season started up for Webber International today as they took on St. Thomas University. Despite hitting 4 homeruns, the Warriors could not overcome the offense of St. Thomas as the Bobcats took the victory 8-7.
GAME NOTES: Isoba Hits 2 Homeruns, Hazen and Lindell Homer
It was all Bobcats to start the game as Santos and Sands homered and they jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the top of the 3
rd inning. It wasn't until the bottom of the 5
th inning when 
Brandi Hazen stepped up with 
Ka'Deisha McCowen and 
Cassidy Roberts on base already, smacking a 3 run homer deep out of right center and out by the tennis courts. 2 batters later, 
Megan Isoba hit a ball out deep to center field for a solo homerun. In the top of the 7
th with the score 5-4 in favor of the Bobcats, the Bobcats extended their lead by adding 3 more runs. In the bottom of the 7
th, the Warriors last chance, Isoba again hit a solo homerun cutting the lead 5-8. Not long after, Meaghan Lindell stepped up and hit a 2 run shot out to left field that scored Kaitlyn Cockroft. The Warriors had the offense as both teams registered 9 hits apiece. In the end it was the Bobcats that came out on top 8-7.
STAT LINE: Alyssa Householder led the offense going 3-4. 
Megan Isoba tore the cover off the ball going 2-3 with 2 solo homeruns. 
Brandi Hazen went 1-3 with a long ball and 3 RBI's. 
Victoria Atkinson had a multi-hit game going 2-4 and 
Meghan Lindell went 1-4 with a 2 run homerun. Warriors pitching had a rough day as 
Naomi Spurgeon only lasted 2/3 of an inning giving up 2 hits and 3 earned runs. 
Raven White came in for 1.2 innings and surrendered 4 hits and 2 earned runs. Then 
Sabrina Hebding came in and held the Bobcats to just 3 hits in 4.2 innings of work giving up 3 runs.
FINAL THOUGHTS: Megan Isoba extends hit streak to 9 straight games as she raises her average to .407 on the year. Webber International will play a double header against St. Thomas tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. to finish off the first Sun Conference series.
