Mark Martinez followed up with a double that scored Clayton. To cap off the 2
nd inning,

th inning scoring spree,
Sjaghbar Martis approached the plate and hit an absolute no doubter out to right field that scored
Matt Saliba and Rodriguez giving the Warriors a 9-4 lead. Before the end of the game, the Lions would earn 1 more run and the Warriors 3 more runs as Webber took game one of the three game series 12-5.
Earning the win for the Warriors off the mound was
Brady Mintell as he threw a brilliant 6 innings surrendering 5 runs and striking out 4.

Brad Burdett to throw the final 2 innings, giving up only 1 hit and striking out 4.
GAME 2:
Matt Piatt Draws Walk For Game Winning Walk-Off, Marcus Begg Crushes 3-Run Homer
The second game of the series was quiet offensively and featured masterful pitching by both teams. On the mound for the Lions was Hadley to start and Aparacio to close out the game. The pair combined a fantastic game against the Warriors that limited them to only 4 total runs. Starting the game for the Warriors was
Anthony Hunter. He threw 7 innings giving up only 6 hits and 3 runs while striking out 4. The pitching coach
Andy Polk then handed the ball to
Max Boling who threw a brilliant 2 innings only surrendering 1 hit and striking out 3 solidifying him the win moving him to 1-0 on the year.
The 3
rd inning rolled around and the score was still knotted up at 0-0. After Martis and Saliba found their way on base,
Marcus Begg reached back and connected with a rocket that took off over the left field fence just shy of hitting the scoreboard. The homerun was a 3-run shot that gave the Warriors a 3-0 lead. The Lions ate away at the lead as they put up 2 runs in the 5
th inning and 1 in the 7
th to tie the game at 3.-3. After
Garrett Martin came on to pinch run, the Lions pitcher Aparacio, tried to pick off Martin at first and threw the ball down the first baseline allowing Martin to scamper to 3
rd base. The caused the Coaches of Florida Memorial to make a tough decision with no outs and the winning run at third for the Warriors. They intentionally walked Martis, then intentionally walked Begg to load the bases for a chance to set up force outs all around. Fortunately for the Warriors, they had a patient
Matt Piatt who drew a walk sealing the deal and giving the Warriors a 4-3 walk off walk.
