Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.—The Webber International University women's basketball team traveled south last night for their final game of the 2016-17 season to take on The Sun Conference foe, the Florida Memorial University Lions. It was a hard fought battle between both teams that ended with the Lions coming out on top 72-69.
Victoria Baggett led the Lady Warrior's offense with an outstanding 18 points to finish out her senior season.

Shayla McPhearson, and
Tiffany Zito anchored the defense for the Lady Warriors, each with 5 rebounds.
Webber quickly jumped out to start the game, giving them their largest lead of 6 points in the 2
nd quarter. The Lions were not going to go down quietly though, and came back with a 13-6 run to send the teams into the locker room leading the Lady Warriors 35-33. The offense for the Lions took off in the 3
rd quarter and forced the Lady Warriors to fight back from a 12-point deficit towards the end of the quarter. Webber refused to give up and the 4
th quarter saw 1 tie and 3 lead changes to end the game with the Lions taking down the Lady Warriors 72-69.
This was the final game for the Lady Warriors in the 2016-17 season. They finished the season with a record of 9-18 overall and 5-11 TSC. Thank you to the team and coaches for a great season and good luck to the seniors in their future endeavors. Go Warriors!!!
