Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla.—The Lady Warriors had their last home game of the season today, taking on Johnson & Wales University. Webber was able to send off their seniors with a 76-62 win over the Wildcats.
The Lady Warriors celebrated their seniors after the game concluded.
Jessica Colson,
Mercedes Sirmons,
Victoria Baggett,
Shalontay Rose, and
Quanthavia Stalworth were all recognized for their contributions to the women's basketball program.
Colson led the Lady Warriors' offense for the night with an outstanding 21 points, going 4-4 from behind the arc and 3-3 at the free throw line. Stalworth and Baggett were also in double digits for points with 12 and 11 respectively.
Amber Ferguson and Stalworth anchored the Lady Warriors' defense with 8 rebounds each.
The 1
st quarter was a hard fought battle between the two teams, with Johnson & Wales coming out with a small lead, 16-15 to end the quarter. The Lady Warriors responded by outscoring the Wildcats 24-13 in the 2
nd quarter. Webber led 39-29 to start the 3
rd quarter and were able to hold off the Wildcat's offense as well as battle through their defense to keep control of the game. They were able to extend their lead to 19 points in the 4
th quarter. They finished the game taking down the Wildcats 76-62.
The Lady Warriors will travel south to take on Florida Memorial University in their last game of the regular season on Thursday February 16
