Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla.—The Lady Warriors took on Sun Conference foe Ave Maria University this afternoon in the Sabbagh Athletic Center. The game was a battle between both teams that ended with the Lady Warriors to the Gyrenes coming out on top 68-75. The Lady Warriors fall to 6-16 overall and 2-9 in the Sun Conference.
Webber was led by
Quanthavia Stalworth with 15 points and 8 rebounds.
Joi Wright also contributed 10 points to the Lady Warriors' effort.
The Gyrenes jumped out to an early lead in the game, forcing the Lady Warriors to fight back from a 14-point deficit in the 2
nd quarter. Webber took over the lead at the end of the 2
nd quarter and sent the teams into the locker room 31-30. The 3
rd quarter was a tight battle for the lead that ended with Ave Maria coming out on top to win the game 75-68 over the Lady Warriors.
The Lady Warriors will return to action on Thursday February 2
nd when they travel to West Palm Beach, Florida to take on the Seahawks from Keiser University in a Sun Conference match up. The previous meeting between these two found the Lady Warriors coming out on top 82-65. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm. Go Warriors!!!
