Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.—Women's Basketball traveled south last night to take on St. Thomas University in a Sun Conference battle. The Lady Warriors fought hard throughout the game but ended up falling to the Lady Bobcats 58-80.
After a strong start, the Lady Warriors were unable to put a stop to the Lady Bobcats, who had 4 players in double digits in the points category. There were 3 score ties and 2 lead changes throughout the game. The Lady Warriors jumped out to an early lead in the 1st quarter, but the Lady Bobcats fought back to take the lead before the half. The Lady Bobcats kept control of the lead throughout the second half leaving the Lady Warriors to attempt to battle back from an 11 point deficit to start the 3rd quarter. The Lady Bobcats extended that double digit lead in the 4th quarter to end the game 58-80.
The Lady Warriors were led by
Quanthavia Stalworth who put up 15 points and 6 rebounds.
Shayla McPhearson came off the bench and was able to add 12 points.
Jakia Davis also contributed 10 points and 4 rebounds to the Lady Warriors' efforts in Miami.
