Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International has played some great games this year, but unfortunately, in Sun Conference play they seem to fall just shy of victory. With the Sun Conference being as powerful as it is, the Warriors have played nearly every game close and been plagued by the last few minutes of play.

Tonight the Warriors took on the visiting TSC Johnson & Wales Wildcats. The Wildcats entered the game with a 6-2 TSC record. The Warriors sat at a 2-7 TSC record.

There were 5 lead changes throughout the game as halftime found the Wildcats leading 24-30. At the start of the 2nd half, the Wildcats extended their lead to 28-38 within the first 2 minutes. A 6 minute run found the Warriors cutting the lead and tying the game 38-38. It stayed locked up the rest of the game as both teams traded baskets. The last 00:45 of the game saw two huge turnovers by the Warriors that caused them to foul and eventually give the Wildcats command. With 00:03 remaining on the clock, the Warriors, Cody Carden, quickly drove to half court and threw up a prayer to try and tie the game and it fell short as they saw yet another Sun Conference game slip away.

Overall, it was not a bad game by any means. McDonald Jean-Louis and Cody Carden split the point leaders at 14 points apiece. Joseph Serrano followed up with 12 points and Joelle Bigham had 10 points of his own on the night.

The Warriors had a great night defensively. They combined for 32 defensive rebounds and 5 steals. This is only the second opponent this year that they were able to keep under 70 points.

Though it was a loss on the record, there is no doubt that this Warriors team is fighting and playing some great basketball. Coach John Shoffner and his Warriors will get a week's rest as they travel to face Ave Maria next Saturday, January 28th at 4:00 p.m.
