Box Score Thomasville, GA—The Lady Warriors travelled to Thomasville, GA on to take on Thomas University in a Sun Conference match up. The Lady Night Hawks came away with a 79-70 win in overtime over the Lady Warriors.
Victoria Baggett continues to lead the Lady Warriors' offense, with 23 points on the night.
Amber Ferguson and
Shayla McPhearson also played a big role in the Lady Warriors' effort, scoring 12 and 7 points respectively.
The Lady Night Hawks' offense was well-balanced, with five players recording double digits in points. De'Audra Copeland led the team while recording a double-double, with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Arianna Anderson led on the team in rebounds with 14.
The first half of the game saw the Lady Night Hawks holding the lead, ending the half up 25-23. The Lady Warriors were not going to go down easily though. There were four ties and seven lead changes in the third quarter and the game was sent into overtime with a score of 59-59. After jumping out with the early lead in overtime, the Lady Warriors were unable to stop the Lady Night Hawks from going on an 11-1 run and another 5-2 run to finish out the game.
The Lady Warriors fall to 5-11 on the season and 1-4 in The Sun Conference. They return to the court on Saturday January 14, to take on TSC opponent Ave Maria University at 2 pm. Live stats and video will be available on the webberathletics.com. Go Warriors!
