Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla – The Warriors faced off against the #1 Sand Sharks today and won 8-5 advancing to the next round of the tournament which will be played tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. against #2 Thomas University.

It started out as all Sand Sharks as they added 1 run per inning for the first 4 innings to take a 4-0 lead. The Warriors kicked it into gear as Taylor Layner stepped to the plate with bases loaded and a 2-4 score on the board; he tripled to right center scoring all 3 runs taking the lead 5-4. In the bottom of the 6th inning Ramon Sanchez smacked one over the fence for a 2-run shot making it 7-5. The Warriors would add 1 more run in the bottom of the 8th when Garrett Martin scored on a wild pitch bringing the score to 8-5.

Colin Richardson received the win for the Warriors on the mound throwing 5 innings surrendering 5 hits and 2 runs. Jose Serrano picked up the Save throwing 2 innings giving up 2 hits.
