Box Score 2 BABSON PARK, Fla – Webber Baseball split todays series 1-1 with the #5 ranked Sand Sharks of South Carolina Beaufort today. The first game ended with a score of 9-12 and the second with a score of 9-3.
The first game turned into a slugfest with both teams tallying a combined 35 hits. Webber, mounted a 15 hit offensive that lead to 9 total runs.
Sjaghbar Martis and
Taylor Layner led the way for the Warriors both going 3-5 at the plate.
Jake Frisosky made things interesting in the 9th inning when he connected for a 2 run pinch hit home run. The efforts would fall short for the Warriors as they dropped the first game of the double header 9-12.
In game two, the Warriors continued the offensive attack and put up 17 total hits.

Sjaghbar Martis and
Mike Castilla all registered 3 hits apiece for the game.
Brady Mintell started on the mound for the Warriors and threw 6.2 innings of shutout baseball and was credited for the win moving his overall record to 5-0 on the season. The final of game two was 9-3 moving the Warriors to 26-14 overall and 10-5 in Sun Conference play.
For the second time this week, the Warriors took down a top 25 ranked team. They will finish off the three game set against the Sand Sharks of South Carolina Beaufort tomorrow, April 9, 2016 at 12 p.m. Located at USCB. Go Warriors!!!
