Webber International University Warriors finish third on the women's side and second on the men's side at the 2016 NAIA invitational in Anderson, Indiana.
Both the men and the women started the tournament off well with the women qualifying in first after the 24 qualifying baker games on Friday with a total pinfall of 4927. The men qualified in second with a total pinfall of 4942.
The men had a rough route to the final beating Hunting University 3-1 in the second round but got sent to the losers bracket by Midland University 3-0 in the third round. The Webber Men fought their way back to the contenders bracket beating Hasting College 3-1, then beating number one in the country Calumet College of St Joseph 3-1, Lindenwood Belleville 3-2, Grandview 3-0, Midland University 3-2. The Webber men then had to face the winner of the past three events and the lone survivor in the contenders bracket and they had to beat them twice. The Webber men won the first match 3-0, but unfortunately weren't able to keep the momentum going into the final and lost 3-0.
The Webber Women who had previously won this event in 2014 beat Huntington University 3-1, University of St. Ambrose 3-1, Marian University 3-0, but lost to Robert Morris Illinois in a 9 and 10th frame roll off 49-40 after a tie of 2.5-2.5, the women than got beat in the semifinal 3-0 by last years champion University of Pikeville.

Andrew Anderson was voted men's tournament MVP.
Other individual awards given out during the yearly banquet Friday night senior
Justin Dunn got awarded second team all American, and both senior
Verity Crawley and junior
Ramon Hilferink got awarded NAIA first team all American for the 2015-2016 season.
