Baseball Completes Sweep of Florida Memorial, Scores 33 Runs

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Webber International University baseball closed out a three game series against Florida Memorial, Saturday, with an afternoon doubleheader. The Warriors were ruthless taking both games by a combined score of 33-5.

The Warriors scored its first run on just its second at bat of the game. Lenin Sanchez crushed an RBI after Jordan Thomas drew a leadoff walk. Sjaghbar Martis followed that with a sacrifice fly. Later in the inning Brett Kaminski picked up an RBI single. Daniel Timmons closed out the inning with two runs off a double, putting the Warriors up 5-0.

Mike Castilla roped an RBI single in the third. A Lions error in the top of the fourth, put Webber International ahead, 8-1.

The Warriors would tack on nine more runs before it was all said and done, winning out, 17-1.

Eight different players registered an RBI in the game two route.

Conner Clayton kicked of the game with a two-run homerun.

After six innings of action, the Warriors were ahead just 6-4.

Webber International jumped head with a massive seventh inning. The Warriors scored seven runs, led by another Clayton homerun.

The Warriors would score three more runs in the eighth, taking fame three 16-4.
