Box Score 2 BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University closed out the weekend with a double-header against No. 12 Bellevue University, Saturday. The Warriors would struggle in game one, losing out, 4-0 and nearly picked up an upset in game two, falling, 4-3.
Sjaghbar Martis picked up one of only two hits in the first game and drove in a run in game two. Connor Clayton nearly gave the Warriors a victory in game two with a homerun.
Bellevue 4, Webber International 0
Bellevue pitching kept the Warrior bats at bay, with Webber International registering only two hits.
The Warrior defense was strong in the loss allowing only four runs, even though the Burins registered 12 hits.
A homerun in the fifth and a double in the sixth by Bellevue would down the Warriors, 4-0.

After a hot start the Warriors would see its upset bid come up just short.
Webber International came out fast, driving in three runs in the bottom of the first.
Lenin Sanchez opened up the inning with a hard-earned walk and promptly stole second to get into scoring position. Ramon Sanchez continued to be hot at the plate, putting a single through the right side, moving L. Sanchez to third.
Martis hit a sharp grounder to second base, allowing L. Sanchez to reach home. In the following at-bat, Clayton sent a ball over the outfield wall to put Webber International up, 3-0.
Bellevue hit back in the fourth with strong hitting. The Bruins registered hits in four-consecutive at-bats to tie the game up, 3-3. Another single late in the inning gave Bellevue its first lead, 4-3.
The Warriors would not collect another hit in the game, eventually falling to the Bruins, 4-3.
