Box Score
BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University hosted NCAA D-II opponent Eckerd College, Wednesday. A tough eighth inning would see the Warriors fall to the Tritons, 10-3.

Ramon Sanchez led the Warrior offense, going 2-3 at the plate with a triple and a walk. Jake Frisosky and Brett Kaminski came in as pinch hitters, capitalizing on the opportunity by notching an RBI each. Derrick Pezon put in three solid innings on the mound, registering three strike outs and no earned runs.

After six tightly contested innings, Eckerd held a narrow, 3-0, lead, thanks in most part to a few unfortunate Warrior errors. In the bottom of the sixth, Lenin Sanchez put Webber International back in the game after crushing a solo leadoff home run over the left field wall, cutting the Eckerd lead to 3-1.

Unfortunately the Triton bats caught fire late in the game, pushing home seven runs in the final three innings.

The Warriors offense did not give up, putting together a strong ninth inning. Two singles, two walks and a hard-hit grounder to second led to two runs for the Warriors. Webber International could not keep the momentum going, eventually falling to the Tritons, 10-3.
