BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University men's tennis hosted their first two Sun Conference season games, playing archrivals Warner University and Southeastern University, Saturday and Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors were not able to make a break in any of their matches against Warner, with the Royals sweeping the Warriors, 9-0.
There was a noticeable turn around playing Southeastern on Tuesday, the Warriors No.1 doubles team started strong, with Luka Volk and Oscar Alvarez beating South Eastern convincingly in the first match, 8-4.
Alvarez was also able to pick up a singles win in the No.1 matchup against David Veliz of the Fire, due to injury. Despite two solid first match wins, the Warriors fell short, 7-2.
