Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber took the court against the visiting Southeastern Fire in the home opening Sun Conference matchup for the Warriors. Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Fire came out on top 62-86.
It was a struggle tonight for the Warriors as it just seemed like their shots just refused to go in the net. The first half saw the Warriors only trailing the Fire by 4 points. The third quarter flipped and the Warriors were only able to put up 13 points to the Fire 28 points giving the Fire a commanding 20 point lead. The Fire would hold that lead and extend to a final of 62-86.
The offensive leaders for the Warriors were
Emmarrie Carmen with 15 points,
Quanthavia Stalworth with 13, and
Victoria Baggett with 11.
The Warriors drop to 0-1 in the Sun Conference and 3-5 overall.
Webber will have just about a week off to recoup and get things together before they take on NCAA D-II Rollins College followed by NCAA D-II Florida Tech.
