BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Lady Warriors took the court tonight against Trinity College. The Warriors came out victorious 89-71.
Women's basketball seems to be taking shape after a slow start on the road this year. They have extended their winning streak to 3 in a row with their win tonight over Trinity College and 2-0 at home. They've gone from averaging a mere 55 points a game in their first four games to averaging 88 points in their last 3 wins. This is a completely different team than we saw a couple weeks ago.
The Warriors offensive leaders for today's game were
Jakia Davis with 16 points shooting 7-13 from the field.
Amber Ferguson was sitting poised to have a fantastic game with 15 points hitting 5-6 from the field and 5-8 of her free throws. Unfortunately, Amber was forced to leave the game midway through due to a medical condition.
Mercedes Sirmons was best at the 3-point line as she hit 3-4 of her attempts.
Defensively,
Jakia Davis had 9 rebounds and Emmarie Carmen had 8 rebounds.
