Women’s Basketball Drops Season Opener To Bryan College

Box Score DAYTON, Tenn. – Webber International University women's basketball took to the court against Bryan College on the road in Dayton, Tenn. yesterday. Unfortunately for the Warriors, they would drop the season opener to the Lions 48-72.

The first quarter saw the Warriors only trailing by 4 with a score of 16-20. From there, the Lions just kept extending their lead to the eventual final of 48-72 and a Warriors loss.

The Warriors Quanthavia Stalworth led the way on offense with 11 pts. and defensively came away with 2 blocks and 3 steals. Assistant coach Radvile Autukaite, when asked about the game said "I feel confident that we will be able to turn this around. We had an off day struggling with our shooting percentage, but I have no doubt we'll do better from here on out, it was first game of many."

The Warriors will have their chance immediately to turn things around as they travel to Reinhardt University to take on the Lady Eagles. This game will be played in Waleska, Ga. At 4:30 p.m. Go Warriors!!!
