Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. – Webber International University football fell to #17 Southeastern University in what ended up being the Sun Conference Championship and also Webber's senior day. The Warriors drop to 3-3 on the season with the 0-24 loss and 2-1 in the Sun Conference.
The first quarter started off in a trade of possessions for both teams and set the scene for what looked to be a good battle. The Warriors defense held off as long as they could but it was not enough to stop the advancing Fire. The Fire scored three touchdowns all of which came with their running game. Early in the 4
th quarter the Fire also notched a field goal leaving the final score at 0-24.
Mario Bargaineer led the rushing attack for the Warriors as he had 11 attempts for 56 yards.
Garry Chouloute completed 7 of 17 passing attempts for 13 yards.
Defensively,
Tyler Clark had 9 solo tackles and 1 assist giving him 10 tackles on the evening.
Oscar McGee also had 10 tackles on the day.
Tyree Wilson had 2 tackles but also was able to break up 2 of the Fire's passing attempts.
Adam Kuh had the lone sack for 6 yards against the Fire.
The Warriors will now shift their focus to the Apprentice School Builders as they travel to New Port News, Virginia next Saturday November 5
th.
