With 11 minutes left in the first quarter, Ave struck first. Quarterback Troy Olmo connected on a 1 yard pass to a wide open Matt Kreichman for a touchdown. As the Gyrenes lined up to attempt the extra point, the Warriors ran through the special teams line and forced a quick line drive kick right into the back of the center leaving the score at 0-6.

The third quarter was quiet as the fourth quarter saw only a field goal made by the Gyrenes kicker Brandon Leon for 28 yards. The Warriors lined up in victory formation after stopping a 4th down conversion attempt by Ave and was able to run out the clock and seal the win.
Leading the offensive attack for Webber was
Mario Bargaineer who had 20 rushing attempts and 72 yards with 2 touchdowns. Defensively,
Malik Brooks,
Aaron Givens, and
Antonio Brown all registered sacks as well
Dequan Harvin and
Christian Barboza combining for a sack.
Tyler Clark came away with the lone interception of the game. The Warriors defense held the Gyrenes to only 121 total offensive yards.
The Warriors football team moves to 2-0 in the Sun Conference and 3-2 overall. They have a tough matchup next week in the #20 Southeastern University Fire. Though yet to play today, the Fire has won 5 out of their 6 games this year. In those 5 wins, the Fire has outscored opponents 317-97. If Southeastern wins tonight against Point University, next week's matchup between the Warriors and Fire may be a deciding factor in the Sun Conference Championship as both teams would meet as the only two undefeated teams in the Sun Conference. The Warriors will host the Fire next Saturday at 1:00 p.m. located in Lake Wales at Legion Field.
