BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University football will welcome Ave Maria University to Warrior Turf Field on Saturday, October 10, for a special afternoon celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness, Homecoming and Alumni Weekend as part of the university's Centennial Celebration.
The Warriors encourage all fans, students, alumni and supporters to wear pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to help raise awareness while supporting those affected by breast cancer.
Saturday's matchup will also serve as Webber's Homecoming game, bringing the Warrior community together to celebrate the university's rich history, traditions and accomplishments. As part of Alumni Weekend and Webber's 100th anniversary celebration, former student-athletes, graduates and friends of the university are invited back to campus to reconnect and celebrate a century of Warrior excellence.
At halftime, Webber will recognize the
Generations of Greatness honorees, celebrating the teams, moments and individuals who have helped shape the history of Warrior Athletics. The recognitions follow the Generations of Greatness Alumni Social hosted Friday evening, where Webber alumni voted to honor some of the most memorable accomplishments and defining eras in the department's history. The honorees will be recognized during Saturday's game.
The afternoon will provide an opportunity to celebrate the university's past while supporting the current generation of Warriors as they take the field against the Gyrenes.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, wear pink and join Webber International University in celebrating 100 years of tradition, community and Warrior pride.
