Women’s Soccer Ties 0-0 With Florida Memorial

Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University women's soccer team took to the field against the Florida Memorial University Lions today in what ended in a 0-0 tie after 2 overtimes.

The first half of the game was neck and neck as the Lions got off 3 shots to the Warriors 1. The second half featured high tempers and a physical matchup as the Warriors got off 6 shots to the Lions 3. The game stayed tied up through the end of the 2nd overtime as both teams added 3 shots a piece. This ended the game in a 0-0 tie. There were 5 yellow cards issued on the Warriors throughout the game and two issued to the Lions. One red card was also issued to the Warriors for rough play. One of the highlights of the game was in Sarah Mckinney as she stopped all 8 shots that came her way not allowing any goals.

The Lady Warriors now shift their focus to the next Sun Conference matchup in Saint Thomas University on October 16th at 2:00 p.m. This game will be located in Babson Park, Fla. @ Warrior Field and can be viewed on the Webber Stretch Internet portal at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/webber/ Go Warriors!!!
