BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University volleyball is back on the road this weekend, competing in the Faulkner University Invitational. The Warriors are set to play four games in Mobile, Alabama. Friday, September 4, Webber International faces off against Bethel University at 2 p.m. and host Faulkner University at 8 p.m. The Warriors close out the weekend, Saturday, September 5 with matches against University of Mobile at noon and Brenau University at 4 p.m.
Last Time OutWebber International was last in action two weeks ago, when it played three matches in the Athletes Meals Invitational hosted by St. Thomas University.
The Warriors opened the weekend against Baker University. After falling behind 0-2 in the match, Webber International took the third set, 25-21, but eventually fell to Baker, 3-1. The Warriors second match was against host St. Thomas. Webber International fought hard against its conference foe, but lost the match 3-0. The Warriors closed out the weekend with a narrow loss to Dakota State.

Lauren Dehls and
Sam Burton have boosted the Warriors attack, both notching a team-high 14 kills at the Athletes Meals Invitational. Fellow newcomer
Sophie Rossard also played well at the Athletes Meals Invitational, finishing with 34 digs and team-best 56 assists.
About BethelThe Wildcats ended 2014 with a 19-15 overall record.
Bethel see four starters return to the team for the 2015 season, joined by a host of players who saw game action last season. The Wildcats are led by junior outside hitter Eloisa Sales, who was named Southern States Second Team All-Conference.
Six games into the 2015 season, Bethel is 2-4 with victories over Campbellsville and Union College.
About Faulkner The Eagles finished 2014 with a 24-12 records.Faulkner finished last season strong, taking 13 of its final 20 matches, including a win in the SSAC Tournament.
Faulkner is led by senior outside hitter Sarah Dubberley. Dubberley has come out firing in 2015, racking up a team-high 75 kills.
The Eagles enter the Faulkner Invitational with a 4-3 record.
About (RV) MobileThe Rams went 31-4 in 2014. Mobile was riding a 13-match win streak entering the SSAC Tournament championship game against College of Costal Georgia, but fell 3-1.
The duo of senior Bailey Nations and sophomore Hannah Wentland power the Rams attack, totaling 87 kills between the two of them. Mobile also boasts five more players that have tallied double-digit kills this season.
The Rams enter the Faulkner Invitational with a 3-1 record.
About BrenauThe Golden Tigers ended 2014 with a 19-14 overall record.
With 209 kills as a freshman, sophomore outside hitter Cayla Graham continues to lead the Brenau offense, picking up 49 kills in four matches this season.
The Golden Tigers enter the Faulkner Invitational with a 1-3 record.
