Miami Gardens, FL - The Webber International Women's Volleyball team battled back from an 0–2 hole with emphatic wins in sets three and four, but Florida Memorial edged the Warriors 18–16 in the fifth to take a SUN Conference thriller on Saturday at the FMU Wellness Center. Set scores: 23–25, 26–28, 25–10, 25–13, 16–18.

After dropping two tight frames, Webber flipped the momentum with its best volleyball of the day. The Warriors hit .241 with just three errors in the third (25–10) and were nearly flawless in the fourth, swinging .481 with 15 kills against two errors (25–13). In the race to 15, the sides traded sideouts deep into extra points before FMU's block—and timely serving—closed it out, 18–16.

• Kaylee Hunt: 20 kills (.250), 14 digs, 1 ace, 1 solo block, 22.0 points.
• Hailey Mull: 19 kills, 3 block assists, 20.5 points.
• Sherian Horner: 8 kills, 3 total blocks (1 solo, 2 BA), 10.0 points.
• Abigail Leonard: 37 assists, 7 digs, .500 hitting (3–0–6).
• Alejandra Aponte: Match-high 29 digs; added 6 assists.

Team Notes

• Webber out-killed FMU 62–43 and finished at .182 (62–29–181). The Warriors posted 7.0 team blocks and dug 77 balls.
• Serving was a swing stat: WIU logged 5 aces but 10 service errors, while FMU had 8 aces and 13 errors; the Lions' 11.0 blocks loomed large in the fifth.

• Set 1 (23–25 FMU): Late trading at 22–22; FMU closed with a Henderson kill and a stuff at set point.
• Set 2 (26–28 FMU): Webber staved off set points to 24–24 on a Mull kill, but the Lions snuck it in extras with an ace.
• Set 3 (25–10 WIU): Statement frame—Hunt and Mull fueled a 12–5 start; Leonard spread the offense and WIU cruised.
• Set 4 (25–13 WIU): Two Morgan aces highlighted a 15–8 surge; Warriors hit .481 and forced a deciding set.
