Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Webber International University women's soccer took on No. 4 Keiser, Saturday afternoon, losing out to the Seahawks, 5-0.
The Warriors fell behind early, after Keiser was able to find the back of the net in the second minute of the match.
Webber International nearly equalized three minutes later, when
Cierra Abundez fired off a great shot that forced the Keiser keeper in to a difficult save.
After the two teams settled in, Keiser would score three more goals before half time to build a 4-0 lead.
Defense dominated the second half, with only one goal being scored.
In the 51st minute, Abundez found space and ripped a long distance shot, but it was blocked before it could find the goal. The Seahawks would add one more goal, in the 72nd, eventually winning the match, 5-0.
The Warriors are back in action, Monday, September 28 at 7 p.m. on the road against Lynn University.
