Women’s Soccer Kicks Off Sun Conference Play

BABSON PARK, Fla. – Webber International University women's soccer is set to face a slate of two road matches in the Sun Conference. The Warriors open the week, Thursday, September 24 at 3:30 p.m. against Johnson & Wales and close the week out, Saturday, September 26, at 1 p.m. against No. 4 Keiser.

Last Time Out
The Warriors traveled to St. Petersburg last week to take on Eckerd. The Warriors and Tritons played a great match, with Eckerd topping Webber International 4-3. Senior Cierra Abundez led the way for Webber International, netting a hat trick.

About Johnson & Wales
The Wildcats hold a 3-4 record in 2015. Johnson & Wales are coming off a, 1-0, victory over Trinity Baptist College and a tough, 3-0, loss to Nova Southeastern.

Freshman Soleil Duplain leads the Wildcats in points with three, on one goal and one assist.

About No. 4 Keiser
The Seahawks own a 4-1-1 overall record. Keiser is unbeaten in its last four matches, winning three game and drawing once.

The Seahawks offense is led by junior forward Johanna Engberg, who has netted a Sun Conference best six goals.
