BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team hosted Warner University in a double-header Saturday afternoon. In game one, the Warriors took a 10-run lead over the Royals, 12-2. In game two, the Royals came out on top, 6-4.
Game 1 The Warriors scored 4 runs in the bottom of the first. The Royals answered with 2 runs in the top of the 2
nd inning. The Warriors scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 3
rd. Both teams were scoreless in the 4
th. Into the fifth, the Warriors were up 6-2 and scored 3 more runs in the bottom of the fifth, unanswered by the Royals. In the bottom of the 6
th, the Warriors scored 3 runs to extend their lead over the Royals, 12-2

Game 2 Both teams were scoreless in the first inning. The Warriors scored first for game two with 2 runs in the bottom of the second. The Royals answered with 2 runs in the top of the third, to tie the game, 2-2. The Warriors scored again in the bottom of the fourth inning. Both teams were scoreless in the fifth. The Royals scored 3 runs in the top of the sixth, unanswered by the Warriors. The Royals took the lead scoring 1 run in the top of the seventh, unanswered by the Warriors. Both teams were scoreless for the eighth inning. Into the ninth inning, the Warriors were down 4-5 and both teams were scoreless for the inning.

The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, April 14
th as they take on Trinity College in a double-header beginning at 3 p.m.
