Warriors Win Game Over Pilots, 8-5

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team hosted Bethel University from Indiana on Monday night at 6 p.m. The Warriors won, 8-5.  

 

The Warriors made the first run in the bottom of the first inning. The Pilots answered in the top of the second with one run.  The Warriors got no runs in the bottom of the second. The Pilots scored three runs in the top of the third, answered by the Warriors with two runs.  Neither team scored in the fourth inning.  The Pilots went scoreless in the fifth inning and the Warriors scored one run in the bottom of the fifth.  Neither team scored in the sixth.  The Pilots went scoreless in the top of the seventh and the Warriors scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh. After a scoreless eighth inning for both teams, the Pilots scored one last run in the top of the ninth, unanswered by the Warriors.

 

Taylor Reeves collected the win for the Warriors pitching staff. 

 

The Warriors' record improves to 10-8 overall and remains 4-5 in The Sun Conference.

 

The Warriors will return to action taking on Benedictine University at Springfield on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6 p.m. on Heart of Florida Field.
