Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team played their home opener against NCAA-II Eckerd College Tritons. The Warriors battled back late in the game to collect their third straight win, 5-2.
 
The Tritons started off putting the first runs on the board in the top of the third inning bringing in two runs, 2-0. The Warriors and Triton defense held strong until the Warriors scored one run in the bottom of the seventh, 2-1. The bats for the Warriors arrived in the bottom of the 8^th inning as they scored four runs gaining the lead 5-2. The Warriors defense shutout the Tritons after giving up the two runs in the top of the third inning.
 
Leading the Warriors on the field were: Joey Howes went three for four at the plate with two RBI's and scored one run; Jesus Villalobos hit three for four at the plate; AJ Arroyo was one for four at the plate with one RBI and one run; Ramon Sanchez also went one for four at the plate with one RBI and one run; and Connor Clayton went one for four at the plate with one run.
 
Joey Dinardo collected the win for the Warriors pitching staff.
 
The Warriors record improves to 3-0 overall and they will return to action on Saturday, February 7^th as they host Bluefield College starting at 1:00 p.m.
