Warriors Fall to Seahawks, 2-9

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team hosted Northwood University Seahawks in a double-header on Saturday starting at noon. The Warriors lost game one, 2-9.  Game two was rained-out.

 

 

Game 1:

 

The Warriors put up one run in the bottom of the first.  Both teams were scoreless in the second.  The Seahawks made two runs in the top of the third, answered by one run in the bottom of the third. Neither team scored in the fourth inning. The Seahawks scored three runs in the top of the fifth, unanswered by the Warriors. Both teams were scoreless in the sixth and seventh innings.  The Seahawks made two runs in the top of the eighth, unanswered by the Warriors. The Seahawks made one run in the top of the ninth and in the bottom of the ninth, the Warriors made no runs, to complete game one of two. 

  

Sean Stanislawski collected the loss for the Warriors pitching staff.

 

The Warriors' record falls to 9-7 overall and 4-4 in The Sun Conference.

 

Webber will return to action on Sunday, March 1st as they host Northwood University to finish their conference series starting at 2:30 p.m.
