Women’s Soccer Falls to St. Thomas, 4-2

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Webber International University women's soccer faced off with St. Thomas, Sunday, falling to the Bobcats, 4-2. Senior Cierra Abundez continued her scoring streak, netting her 15th goal of the season.

The Warriors struggled in the early going, falling behind 3-0. St. Thomas was able to score three goals in the first 25 minutes. Only one of the goals came in the run of play, with the Bobcats relying on a penalty and a corner kick to build their lead.

Luck started to change for the Warriors, when with second before halftime St. Thomas netted an own goal.

St. Thomas opened the second half with a goal to go up, 4-1. In the 60th minute, Abundez found the back of the net for the sixth-consecutive match.

In the end Webber International fell to St. Thomas, 4-2.

The Warriors are back in action, Wednesday, October 21 in a Sun Conference road match against Ave Maria.
