Women’s Soccer Falls to St. Leo, 3-0

ST. LEO, Fla. – Webber International University women's soccer took on St. Leo, Tuesday night, falling to the Lions, 3-0. Despite the loss, goal keeper Kayla Hanel played valiantly, making 15 saves having faced 43 shots.

The Warriors offense struggled to gain a foothold in the match, managing one shot in the first half. St. Leo scored twice in the in the half, but five saves from Hanel kept Webber International in the game. The Warriors sole shot was a dangerous one. Leah Parker blasted a shot towards goal, forcing the St. Leo keeper to make a save.

Hanel was fantastic in the second half, making an astounding 10 saves, while only allowing one goal. The Lions defense stifled the Warriors on offense, limiting Webber International to one shot for a second time. With time about to expire, Marisela Rivera put a shot on goal that was unfortunately saved, securing St. Leo's, 3-0, win.

The Warriors are back in action, Thursday, October 15 against Florida Memorial.
