Webber Men’s Tennis Defeats Bentley University

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University men's tennis team defeated Bentley University (MA) 7-2 today (Monday) on the Webber Campus Courts. The Warriors improved their overall record to 5-4 with the win over their NCAA-II opponents.

The Warriors jumped out to a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles. The winning teams for Webber were: #1 – Niklas Kammer and Justus Klocke, 8-2; Jonathan Cohen and Mislav Colak, 8-3; and #3 – Firmiano Filho and Hugo Cedeno, 8-6.

The winning Warriors in singles were: #1 – Kammer, 6-2, 6-1; #2 – Cohen, 6-1, 6-1; #3 – Colak, 6-2, 6-2; and #4 – Klocke, 6-1, 6-2. Webber lost at 5 and 6 singles.

Next up for the Warriors is Marion University (IN) on Friday. The match will be played at Oak Street Park, in Kissimmee, at 3:00 p.m.
