HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The Webber International University Warriors baseball team played game three of The Sun Conference series against University of South Carolina Beauford Sand Sharks starting at 11:00 a.m. The Sand Sharks would win the final game with a score of 12-4 and take the conference series 2-1 over WIU.
 
Webber started off strong putting two runs on the board in the top of the first. Unfortunately, USCB would answer in the bottom with five runs of their own taking the lead 5-2. The Sand Sharks extended their lead in the bottom of the second scoring three more runs, 8-2. In the bottom of the fifth inning USCB scored three more runs 11-2. WIU responded in the top of the 6^th inning scoring two runs cutting into the Sand Shark lead, 11-4. USCB put the game away in the bottom of the 8^th inning scoring the last run, 12-4.
 
The Warriors record falls to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in The Sun Conference. WIU will return to action on Wednesday, February 12^th as they host Johnson University starting at 1:00 p.m.
