Kissimmee, Fla. – The WIU women's tennis team ventured to Star Island Resort, in Kissimmee, to play NCAA-I, Mount St. Mary's (MD) and left with a 6-1 defeat.  The Webber #1 doubles team got the Lady Warriors going in the right direction with an 8-1 victory.  But, under NCAA-I rules, which the match was played, Webber lost the doubles point as the #2 and #3 teams fell, putting Webber down <1-0 after="" doubles="" play. ="">Nathalia Chaddad and Daniela Caruso were paired at #1.
 
Picking up the only point for Webber was Daniela Caruso, a freshman from Venezuela, at #1 singles.  She defeated Sam Pinehoff, 6-7, 6-4, 10-7. 
 
The Lady Warriors fall to 0-4 for the season.  They are playing at Lake Cane Park today, in Orlando, against Davenport University, (MI).
