BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors tennis team opened up their season hosting conference opponent Warner University Royals. The Royals outplayed the Warriors and won the match 6-2.
 
WIU found themselves down 3-0 after doubles play. Then in singles play the Royals won at #1, #4, and #5 singles matches, 6-2.
 
Winning for the Warriors were: #2 singles Niklas Kammer 4-6, 6-1, 7-5 and #3 singles Mislav Colak 6-4, 6-4.
 
The Warriors record falls to 0-1 overall and 0-1 in The Sun Conference. The Royals improved their record to 4-0overall and 2-0 in The Sun Conference.
 
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, February 19^th as they host conference opponent Southeastern University starting at 3:00 p.m.
