BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Webber International University Warriors Baseball Team will host its 2
nd Annual Warriors For Warriors: A Salute to the Troops baseball game on Friday, February 21, 2014. The Warriors will be taking on conference rival Southeastern University, from Lakeland, at 6:00 p.m., on Heart of Florida Field in Babson Park. The gates open for this event at 5:00 p.m.
Prior to the game, there will be a brief ceremony honoring all branches of our military. This will be followed by our National Anthem. The first pitch will be thrown by a military veteran. In addition to the ceremonies and great baseball that will be played on the field, there will be bounce houses, games for the children, and good food.
Tickets for the event are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for Senior Citizens, students, and children. All veterans and their family members will be admitted free. Parking is free.
All profits will benefit the local chapters of the VFW and American Legion posts. "Our goal is to honor those who have served and are now serving," stated Event Chairman,
