Lady Warriors Comeback in Second Half to Upset Sea Hawks, 74-71

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Webber International University Lady Warriors traveled to West Palm Beach to face off against Northwood University starting at 5:00 p.m. WIU came back in the second half to upset Northwood, 74-71.
 
Northwood would start off strong in the first half outscoring WIU 39-37. The Lady Warriors regrouped in the locker room and came out on fire. Northwood would be in the lead with a little over two minutes reaming in the game. WIU would go back and forth with the Sea Hawks for the next minute thirty seconds when the Lady Warriors gained the lead for the last time. WIU would win the game by outscoring the Lady Sea Hawks in the second half 37-32. The final was 74-71 Lady Warriors.
 
Leading the Lady Warriors on the court were; #2 Laquandra Brazil with 22 points and 7 rebounds; #12 Shakeria Wilson with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and a block;  #24 Yesenia Lora with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists; and #25 Sarah Dileonardo with 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
 
The Lady Warriors improve to 11-11 overall and 8-6 in The Sun Conference. This win moves the Lady Warriors to fourth place in The Sun Conference.
 
The Lady Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, February 19th as they travel to take on Florida Memorial University in Miami starting at 5:00 p.m.
