Warriors Knock Off Point to Win Fourth in a Row

West Point, Ga- Webber International University Warriors traveled nine hours for a Sun Conference matchup against the Point University SkyHawks. The Warriors would come out on top of the SkyHawks with a final score of 13-3.
A slow first half with several turnovers by Webber, led to a 3-3 tie ending the first half. The Warriors field goal kicker Daniel LeZotte knocked one through for 20+ yards; also the SkyHawks kicker Nick Powell would put one through the uprights for 20+ yards.
With two minutes left in the third quarter it was LeZotte again that nailed another 20+ yard field goal, giving the Warriors a 6-3 lead headed into the fourth quarter. In the ending minutes of the game, Darius Page, the running back for the Warriors, punched one through the SkyHawks defensive line for a touchdown. After the LeZotte extra point attempt that was good, the Warriors led 13-3. An interception by the Warriors Anthony Hooks in the end zone, closed the game for the SkyHawks and gave Webber their fourth straight victory.
Webber now will begin preparation for their home game next Saturday October 25th, 2014 against the Sun Conference matchup of Ave Maria University Gyrenes. This game will be located at Legion Field in Lake Wales, Florida at 3:00 p.m. Also the Warriors would like to say Happy Birthday to Webber's own #46 Austin Johnson.
